Montrose Vet Clinic

Great vet clinic. My first visit. Reception was professional on the phone, and fast and efficient upon arrival. It seems there is more than 1 vet. , and a few techs as well. Meghan T was my vet, and I could not be happier. I brought 2 small dogs, and within 10mins, both had been given 2 shots containing 4 vaccines without even noticing. Both needed a nail trim as well. Total under 140$. I knew that 1 of my dogs needs dental care, and Meghan confirmed that. She told me what to expect financially, and they do dentistry on premises. The estimate she gave me seems to be very competitive, even cheap.

They have been taking care of my 4 dogs for 13 years with love and patience. Today was a very difficult day for me as my sweet border collie Lady reached her last day at the age of 15. They were compassionate and gentle at this time of great sadness. All my dogs are rescued blessings and Lady will be greatly missed by all.

This vet is hands down the best I’ve ever been to. My cat was missing for 5 days and finally came home with some gnarly wounds at around midnight last night.. this following morning, as soon as they opened, I had called to get him in and they were more than accommodating- he was allowed to come in immediately. The receptionist was extremely polite as well, and had even called to ask some questions. I live on the road so I’m not always in the area, but I would be happy to drive 12+ hours in the event I have to bring any of my animals back here. This 5 star rating does not do justice as I would give them 10. (:

Montrose Vet Clinic has cared for 9 of my animals over the last 12 years. They've provided standard care and emergency care. I've found Dr Meghan, Dr Susan, and Dr Mark all to be professional, compassionate, and competent. The level of care they have provided has always been exceptional and I've always been treated kindly and with respect. A special mention for Alli at the front desk who has been amazing organizing my many appointments and information and whom my dog, Remus, adores. Thank you Montrose Vet clinic!

Dr. Meghan Tumlinson is amazing! We have a ton of different critters and she takes great care of each and every one of them. I always know my animals are safe with her and that’s a huge relief to have, knowing they’ll be okay and taken care of. All of her staff is great and always answers my questions. I couldn’t ask for a better vet!

When my dog was having a serve allergic reaction and scratching his eye to the point I was scared he was going to lose it, I called my vet and 3 others. Only Montrose Vet Clinic would work him in on their packed schedule. Friendly, reasonably priced, and I will be forever thankful.

Meghan Tumlinson, the vet at this clinic, is amazing. I had the sad need to put my 17-year-old dog down because she became very sick. Meghan was able to word this in a very compassionate way, with the option to test the dog and possibly keep her alive. But she also said that she thought Abby (my dog) was not living a great life. And she was able to look at her and tell that she had Cushings disease. When we euthanized, Meghan administered just the right amount to calm her and allowed me to hold her. I highly recommend this vet clinic!

So many vets ESPECIALLY in Montrose, only care about money and don’t even care to hide that fact. At Montrose vet clinic you will notice the genuine love and care that they have for pets and animals in general. I cant recommend them enough.

I could not be more satisfied. Called in the morning with an urgent need and they had plenty of open time slots available. Dr. Stone was polite, knowledgeable, well spoken and has a genuinely kind approach to her profession. They examined and treated my dog and sent me along my way with the appropriate prescriptions I needed. The price was well under $200 which I felt was a bargain given the time they spent and the medications I left with. I’ll be using them for all my veterinarian business from now on. Very unlike the clinic in Ridgway that immediately wants to pressure you for expensive “bloodwork” or prescribe surgery when it’s not needed. Also, Black Canyon vet clinic in Montrose is a joke! They want to charge you $70 before they’ve even seen your pet! That is if they can fit you into their schedule within the next week!
